Take a seat on a picnic blanket, decide what you’d like to eat, and immerse yourself in a digital landscape filled with fields, gardens, and plants. Choose a recipe, gather the ingredients, and learn more about the emotional significance and impact of food—dish by dish.

In the video game Playing Food!, you can admire the digital artworks created by young artists from Vienna and also learn a lot about the cultivation of ingredients and the personal stories behind each dish. From “Kaiserschmarrn” to “Käsenudeln” there’s something here to satisfy every appetite!

The installation invites visitors of all ages to grapple with one of the most pressing questions of our time: what we eat, where it actually comes from, and what it means for the planet and our future.
